Ganeshostav
Ganpati Bappa Morya

Pioneered during the British Raj by the freedom fighter Lokmanya Tilak, Ganeshotsav began as a religious pretext under which people were called to arms against the foreign rule. Today, the festival has evolved into a monumental public celebration and is in its 125th year! In Nashik, the Tilya Ganapati, Varad Vinayak and the Navshaya Ganapati are among the most noteworthy Ganesh temples to visit during the festivities. With as many as 1200 Ganpati mandals, Nashik erupts in a vibrant mix of devotion, music, mirth and magic every year.
